Rebecca Sorci is responsible for managing the biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device and food and nutraceuticals analyst teams at Nerac. Ms. Sorci's experience encompasses several areas of biomedical engineering, including surgical instrumentation, medical imaging, biomaterials, biomechanics, clinical engineering, and tissue engineering. As a clinical engineering consultant at Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts, she played a key role in managing incoming capital, system upgrades and implementing new instrumentation. She also spent a year as a research assistant at Vanderbilt University working on a Matlab program for CT image registration and was a research assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology working on cartilage tissue engineering. She was part of a design project team at Shriner's Children's Hospital which investigated the surgical treatment of cerebral palsy and earned a third place award at the Northeast Bioengineering Conference.
